Which of the Creality Slicer releases will work properly with Ender 6? Three versions are currently listed on the downloads area:
My Ender 3 Pro came with the 8-bit V1.1.5 board and sounded like R2D2 when it printed. The 32-bit v4.2.7 just whispers. The greatest installation swap difficulty was removing the glue from the existing connectors and figuring out which of the 2 fan sockets to use (inner is extruder -blue/yellow – and outer is case fan – red/black). Printer: Ender 3 Pro V1 Slicer software: Creality Slicer v1.2.3 Filament: Overture Rock PLA. I recently got an Ender 3 Pro, and it's amazing, yes it has no upgrades yet, but it's just a week old. While everything worked well with all the small prints, something weird happened with a 'larger' print.
v1.2.3
This is the only version with a description that actually lists the Ender series in the name. However, the version number is the oldest / lowest.
v4.2
Pennywise the clown voice changer. This update looks like it is more current, however, the description mentions it includes an update for the FDM printers. Normally, that description would not seem unusual, however considering what the next version's description says, I'm curious if it is not intended for the Ender series.
v4.2.9
While the version number looks like this is the most current release, the description says it was specifically designed for CR-6 SE .. which technically means, this is not a version one would use with any other printer except for that model.
At first glance, this reads as if Creality stopped focusing on the Ender series for Slicer after v1.2.3.
